Hi Everyone,
My name is Erin Cameron and I’m working with ACT on a national level and have been asked to work now with the Phoenix school. Another new team member, Kally Weiss, will also be working with you as well. I am very excited to meet you all and look forward to tweaking our program and getting feedback from you on how we can improve our services.
In reviewing our current roster and age groups, it will benefit all current students to be on the same class track. Meaning that most of you have been in the program for a few semesters and are at the same level and we can operate the session with both groups combined.
I am pushing next round of classes for all students to Oct. 3 - 4 weekend. We will have Saturday and Sunday options, but in order for the classes to be beneficial for all, we will need to make each one balanced with an equal number of students. We will be contacting each one of you who still have credits to make sure that you are aware of the upcoming sessions and the class offerings. If you wish to take more than one or two classes to fulfill your credits, we may have enough options for you to do so as well.
Additional Changes
I’d like to implement a few changes in the following weeks that include:
1. A monthly E-Newsletter featuring information about opportunities locally and nationally and ACT updates. This will not replace our blog, which should also visit.
2. A review and adjustment of our current curriculum and future class offerings. For instance, we will survey you all to see if you would be interested in vocal or movement classes or if you would like a complimentary workshop for parents once a month. I will be getting with the teachers as well to get their insight as to what they would like to see offered as well.
3. More concrete feedback process from the industry auditions and follow up instructions and assistance with those callbacks.
4. Special group rate tickets to see local theatre or movie premiers, and other art-type events as a way for bonding with fellow students and staff, as well as education and enlightenment.
