With a sold-out concert tour ending Thursday and a 3-D concert film opening Friday, Miley Cyrus‘ time is at a premium. When USA TODAY got an interview with the 15-year-old singer and star of Disney’s Channel’s Hannah Montana, we opened up questions to our readers. Cyrus fielded queries from fans ages 7 to 73.
Here is one of the questions that a lot of Academy of Cinema and Television students and parents will be interested in reading.
Q: My daughter, Marissa Elise Mengesha, is 5 years old and also your biggest fan. She would like to be a singer and an actress. What advice would you give her?
— Capt. Thomas Mengesha, Army lawyer stationed in Kuwait
A: It’s something you want to do when you think it’s the only thing you would want to do for the rest of your life. You have to find certain things you’re really good at. Start taking singing lessons, acting lessons, dance lessons. When you’re younger, get training, so when you are a little bit older and you can start going on auditions, you do have one-up on everyone. You should definitely go for it, but take your time and train.

Miley Cyrus is giving really good advice here. While a child or teen may have some natural talent, the talent has to be molded and refined. And, the child must know how to conduct themselves at interviews and auditions in a professional manner if they are to succeed in the Entertainment industry.

Good question! Every photo and every success story on this blog is about an A.C.T. student!
Hope this answers your question.
