Ryan Ellis brought home six Honorable Mentions in his age division from the International Modeling and Talent Association’s Convention in Los Angeles, California, held January 7 - 13, 2008 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel.Hundreds of fashion and talent agents, personal managers, casting directors, and network representatives judged and attended the event.
For the Cold Read competition, acting students are showcasing ability to perform a fresh script with only minimal preparation time opposite another actor. Actors receive scripts 4 hours prior to performance opposite a professional actor in front of a panel of judges. At Ryan’s age, his wins were exceptions in the Cold Read competition is an outstanding accomplishment.
Ryan also did well in his Soaps competition. In this competition the child actors are showcasing ability to perform in scripted dramatic series opposite another actor. Actors perform Dramatic Scenes opposite professional actor from the scripts provided.
During the week long convention, a variety of competitions were held and Ryan did a good job in all of his competitions. Here are his results for the week:
